Thursday is dedicated to the planet Guru or Brahaspati. The planet is associated with the Guru of the Devas in Sanatan Dharma, He is known as Guru Brahaspati. He is worshipped for good luck. This day is also dedicated to Guru Dattatreya. Sai baba is considered to be an Avatar of Guru Dattatreya. Sai baba never said or mentioned anywhere that he is God, He always said he is Guru.
Saibaba is considered Guru of Guru because of his teaching, preaching and his whole life as a sadhu. Sai baba being sadguru, Thursday is guru’s day so we worship especially on Thursday to get utmost grace and blessings of Sri sadguru.
