HAPPINESS IS HARDWORK

HAPPINESS IS HARDWORK

WHAT IS HAPPINESS:

“Happiness is a state of mind”, we have often heard this from our elders and people around us. Happiness. It is a term we throw about without much thought these days. My, guess is that you know what is meant by saying someone is happy.

We all hope to be happy and live a good-life whatever it means. Happiness. is a term that is taken for granted in this modern age. If people have a desire and ability to be happy, does it mean they should pursue happiness for themselves and others?

What do you think: Does being happy require more effort than being unhappy? Is that what prevents you from being happy? We come into this world with a genetic predisposition for joy. Some people are happy to go lucky and some are fussy to get-go. As children, we don’t have much choice to choose from happiness or not. But as an adult, we are in the driver’s seat.

We have the ability to turn around the situations that are preventing us from being happy and optimistic. Looking at the positive instead of the negative can do the trick. But we have to work hard for that.

Some old sayings are old -because they are true. “ Money can’t buy happiness”. And while what drives the individual happiness naturally varies from person to person.

At the end of the day if money can’t buy happiness, what does provide happiness for each generation.

Difference between generations; GENERATION X, MILLENNIALS AND GENERATION Z

GENERATION X(born 1965-1980), Millennials (born 1981-1996) GENERATION Z(1997-2012)

SO ARE THERE DIFFERENCES WHAT MAKES GENERATION X, MILLENNIALS AND GENERATION Z HAPPY?

It’s really difficult to say, what makes one person happy may be completely different from the things that make the person standing next to them happy, irrespective of the generations they are from.

Generation X: This generation is a more traditional kind. For them cultivating long-lasting relationships with family and friends is most important. Spending their whole life-nourishing these relations, they look to impart their wisdom and value through stories, delighting in the unbreakable bond between them and their loved ones.

Millennials: For millennial kids, it was a time for video games. For the experience and happiness go hand in hand. The #YOLO(you live only once) motto inspires them to make most of today, that doesn’t mean fancy cars, but doing something interesting to satiate their craving for happiness.

These are the bunch of kids who don’t want to put brakes thinking that they are growing up. They want to achieve more than expected in one lifetime and their happiness is in “burning midnight oil “ to save this planet.

Generation Z: They are proponents of self-identification and are more accepting of their peers. Gen Zers have seen their friends grown up in a wide array of family structures-from single parent to multigenerational, to households with two moms or two dads. For them, everything is considered normal.

This generation doesn’t distinguish relationships with people they have met online or they know in the physical world. They believe family includes the people who are most important in their life and only love is the important component for that. Watching tv or staring at the screen of their phone and going out with friends makes them happy in a way.

Hence we can say, there are no differences between what makes Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z happy. It is more what makes us happy as an individual.

Regardless of generation, a positive, curious exploration into the values that the individual has, can enable us to see what brings a smile to someone’s face.😊😊

  1. La felicità è equilibrio interiore e non si rapporta a scadenze temporali perché la si vive nel momento : non passato né futuro.

  2. Perhaps the happiness that is really worth it is not sooo easy to achieve, although in reality it is simple. What is not easy is to make the decision to go after the happiness that is true and to go against many of the proposals from the outside.

  3. Happiness is truly a state of mind that depends on multiple situations in life. Sometimes it’s too simple to be happy by being just grateful for everything. It was nice to read your post thanks.

    1. Yeah Ruqia, it’s personal choice to be happy or sad or frustrated.😊 I have seen people with lots of money but far away from happiness. On the contrary, there are some who are just happy in any circumstances. Thank you so much for sharing your views and reading this post.😊😊
