As the popular German tongue-in-cheek song by Herbert Grönemeyer goes: “When is a man a man?” Men’s role in society is transforming and their social dominance is under threat; women no longer accept less pay for doing the same job as a man and demand representation in the upper echelons of politics and the economy.
The notion “it’s a man’s world” is changing with each passing day. Even men believe that they have different roles to play than women when it comes to life.
They are more masculine and stronger compared to women and hold different responsibilities in day-to-day life. They are supposed to financially support family more than women even today.
Most men think that their women counterparts don’t understand them.
Men and women are wired differently. That’s why they respond differently if put in the same situation. We have to do some research for a better understanding of men.
Maybe you girls are confused about what he really wants and how he really feels. Maybe you are tired of his tantrums and not understanding why he acts like this.
So let’s try to find out.
One thing I am sure about …you don’t want to be confused by men anymore. So you want to know where they are coming from and how to understand their actions and words.
There is” no one size fits all” when it comes to people’s personalities and behaviours.
Men are not as good as women at processing their emotions. So, if you are feeling in a certain way for him let him know.
Sometimes when you see that he is going through something difficult try to give him some space to work through it himself. He might not be comfortable talking about his problem with anyone.
Wait till he tells you about it. Boys are often told not to share the problems that they are going through. Many are taught that it is more manly to face your problem alone rather than look for help from friends and others. So, they try to keep everything to themselves.
If he tries to give you solutions rather than listening to you, know that it’s a very male response.
Men are hard-wired to be competitive in all fields like sports, jobs and everything. In a relationship also he wants to feel like he earned you as you could be with any man, but you are choosing to be with him.
Guys are happy when the relationship is going well. They hate arguments, fights, and nonstop nagging. They want to feel relaxed and comfortable as much as possible.
We generally think that men speak fewer words than women in a day. In research published in the journal Science in 2007, Pennebaker found that in their 17 waking hours the women they tested in the US and Mexico uttered an average of 16,215 words while the men spoke 15,669. which is a negligible difference.
But we can say that it depends on person to person. So maybe your guy speaks a lot and keeps you entertained. 😊
I think now you can understand a bit more about your better half.
Now time for a few facts about men:
In real life, men want commitment, sympathy, warmth and love.
They want to be seen with someone who they love and care for. A partner who can bring happiness and comfort in their life.
Someone who will always stick by him and make him feel confident.
A close-knit family, happy children, emotional support is what they want.
A few words of compassion from you like:
“I am so lucky to have you”…
“I appreciate all you do for me”…
“You are a great father”…
“You look buff”…
“I am listening”…
“I love you”…
All this is not unexpected from a man who is putting all his energies and life to keep you and the whole family happy. So try a few of these and he will be in love with you head over heels again like he was years back. 😍
Therefore, we can say Men are not that difficult to understand as many women think. Maybe they are rude sometimes from outside, but your love can make them melt and life gets worth living with them. We women are already full of love and compassion who can make all those hard nuts get cracked. 😋

Anita, you hit the nail right on its head. The few words of compassion you refer to can really uplift a man’s spirit and remind him of his purpose – to protect and provide for his family. “In real life, men want commitment, sympathy, warmth and love.” All we, or at least I, ever needed in a relationship.

Thank you so much. I am glad you liked what I wrote. We have spent our whole life in men’s world so I think no one other than a woman can know what men want. I recommend you go through my blog “What women want” also. I am sure you will like it and it will be clear that be it man or woman, both want their share of commitment and passion. 😊😊
