Prahlad was born in the Daitya clan, whose parents were from the Daitya caste (Prahlad In Hindi). Even after taking birth in the Daitya clan, he was absorbed in the devotion of Lord Vishnu, due to which to date his name is taken as the biggest devotees of Lord Vishnu.
Today we will learn in detail about the story related to the birth of devotee Prahlad, the tortures he received from his father, the protection of Lord Vishnu every time, and his life after the death of his father.
When Prahlad was in the womb of his mother Kayadhu, his uncle Hiranyaksha was killed by the Varahavatar of Lord Vishnu. Frustrated by this, his father Hiranyakashipu went to do penance for Lord Brahma. After this, the gods attacked Hiranyakashipu in the demon city, not finding him.
He(Indra Dewta) took control of the demon city and took Kayadhu (Prahlad’s mother) captive. Indra Dev started taking Kayadhu captive with him then Narada Muni stopped him. Narada Muni told Indra that you cannot torture a pregnant woman and that too when a devotee of Lord Vishnu is growing in her womb.
After this, Narada Muni brought Kayadhu from the clutches of Indra to his ashram and kept him in his ashram till Hiranyakashipu’s penance* was completed. During this, Narada would recite green hymns to Muni Kayadhu and describe the stories of Lord Vishnu in detail.
The positive effect of these words of Narada Muni was also having a positive effect on the unborn Prahlad who was growing in Kayadhu’s womb. This was the reason that when he was born he became a devotee of Vishnu.
Before that, he also had four elder brothers who were born in the city of Daitya but only Prahlad was absorbed in devotion to Vishnu.

Actually very few people know about the whole story of Bhakt Prahlad. Most of the people just know the “Holika” part of the story. So without knowing the whole story I can’t explain why it happened. I think people will like this story.😊😊🙏🙏

Thank you so much, Kanya. I was writing on Lord Vishnu’s stories when a reader asked me to write a story on Bhakt Prahlad also as Prahlad was also a very devout devotee of Lord Vishnu. So I am doing this story. Our next generation is ignorant about these stories so it’s just an effort to spread the knowledge of our Sanskriti. 🙏😊😊
