Bediyan/ Shackles

Tamam umar ye hi socha KiΔ™,

Khud ko hi taraju me tola kie!

ye kia to log kya kahenge,

vo kia to koi kya kahega!!

ye pehan lia to samaj kya kahega,

vo nahi pehna to samaj ko kaisa lagega!

Aj ja ker ye samajh me aya,

jab jaroorat padi ye samaj nahi aya!!

Kyun pehny thi ye samaj ki bediyan,

pehle hi kyun nahi tod di ye bediyan!!

Main is samaj ka Nirmata hun,

Main is samaj ka kaidi nahi!!

All our life we kept thinking,

Tend to justify ourselves!

If we do this, what people will say,

If we do that, what people will say!!

If we wear this, what society will say,

If we don’t wear that, how society will react!

Only today I got to understand,

When nobody was there when I needed it!!

Why did I wear shackles of society,

Why didn’t I break the shackles of society earlier!

I am the producer of this society,

I am not a prisoner of this society!!

  1. Truly! Anita Ji, we have not lived for us with full enjoyment, enthusiasm and encouragement.
    Log Keya kahenge!
    Log Keya kahenge!
That was the sword πŸ—‘οΈβš”οΈ, always did like negative catalyst. Returded the motion in life. For smooth sailing, we had to struggle quite a lot.
Now I have realised that it was a waste of time, money, energy and enthusiasm, just to care for others for **Log Keya kahenge!**
Thank you so much for sharing this feeling of you.
I fully agree with you 😊
    Wonderful post πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

    1. Thank you Arun Ji, for your views.😊
I feel the same …society should be there to help and stand by us in times of need but it just reacts opposite.
It always plays the role of a critic. We lived with all those restrictions in our life but our children don’t abide by those rules. They live in foregin lands and are far away from any shackles imposed correctly or incorrectly by anyone. They don’t care and don’t give attention to all those ‘RIWAZ’ things.
We were forced by our elders to follow the rules, but we are with our next generation and we don’t compell them for anything. Even today we listen to our elders as well as our children. I think we are sandwiched between old and new generation. We have to follow both to maintain equilibrium. πŸ˜‡πŸ˜Š

For the rest of the life, we don’t have to obey any Riyaaz.
We don’t have gurdian now to follow those rotten rules.
        Let’s live as we wish.
I tell you, it is now our term.
No restrictions. Only to enjoy without any fear, without any obligation.
        I feel so.
        Those days are gone.
        I think that way.
Thank you so much for sharing this unique post πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ™

      2. Yes, I know now we are free from those obligations and we don’t need to follow any rules imposed on us. We are on our own now, free and independent. Still, there is a long life ahead to live and enjoy. Now life feels like a blessing but those memories are buried in thoughts and mind. Sometimes when we see our people suffering from the same situations, all those moments come alive and we are again forced to think about, what we have gone through in our past.
Thanks a lot for your views which made me think that it’s not just me, there are many more people who suffered the same problems in those conservative times.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ™

      3. Yes Anita Ji 😊
But I have some plan in my mind.
I would like to share all my problems, experiences with the new generation. You know!
I have friends, mostly young in the age group 25-35, boys and girls.
They feel free to ask anything about life and seek my suggestions and guidance. I do give them. They are happy and trust me.
I would like to share you my feelings in this respect. I wish that all problems of mine are actually common problems for almost every one, starting from falling in love, making love, breach of trusts, stress in office and fear of exam or fear of facing some untoward events.
They have followed my tips and now happy.
Anita Ji, you have initiated discussion on a beautiful topic.
Now a days, young generation do not suffer on those things for which we suffered. Particularly, our gurdian imposed maximum restrictions. Now that is very less.
Hope you will agree with me.
        Regards πŸ™πŸ˜Š

      4. Yeah, I agree 100% with you. Even we don’t impose any restrictions on our children. Those times were different and this time is actually very different. We think that we will not follow in the footsteps of our in so many things. We gave more freedom and understanding to our next generation and that’s why they feel comfortable with us.
I also have real-life friends in all age groups and they seek my advice in so many things. They are happy when they succeed in those situations. The reason is the same as you said…all these problems are common in everyone’s life. We have crossed that phase and can guide them. We can’t change what we faced but we can change other’s life by showing them the right path.
Earlier almost all of us faced some financial restrictions but now there is no such thing. There are bigger problems for new parents to face as social media is doing its job. πŸ˜‡ πŸ˜‡
