Spicy Friday Story #2

Chalo Singapore #Sentosa Island

Hope all of you enjoyed last Friday’s story.😊

I am here again to take you on a tour of  Santosa Island. I agree it’s not as enjoyable as it would be if you are actually in Singapore. But I will try to make it entertaining for you. Singapore isn’t exactly known as a beach destination, but if you’re really craving some fun in the sun, Sentosa Island is the place to find it. Siloso Beach is a good spot for getting in beach time, and visitors can play volleyball on free courts or go kayaking and skimboarding. There are several other beach attractions as well, plus an Underwater World aquarium, where you can swim with dolphins.

A must-see on Sentosa Island is the Merlion, Singapore’s famous statue that has the head of a lion and the body of a fish. You can take an escalator to the top of the statue and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Adventurous types will want to check out The Flying Trapeze and the SeaBreeze Water-Sports @ Wave House, where you can try your hand at flying strapped to a water-propelled jet pack.

You can make your plans any time of the year because the weather remains the same the whole year. It is very safe to travel in Singapore but you have to follow the rules strictly.
Hope you will enjoy your trip to Singapore.😊😊

      2. I had served army for 2 and half years. And also completed 13 years of reservist training so-called NS. Just receive 100 boucher related to that. Are you currently staying in Singapore?

      3. No, right now I live in US. My nephew is doing NS as he is a citizen now. He is planning to graduate from US university. Reservists have to go back every year or they can be exempted on some other grounds.
        What is 100 boucher😇.
How useful is NS now in your life and what benefits do you get as an army man?
We left Singapore last year but we have home there so will be visiting the place😊

      4. As Singaporean, it is the obligation to have NS national service either in Army or police or civil defence. After finished 2 or 2.5 years, we still have to go back training once a year like few week. It is good to go just to maintain our body strong within the 13years reservist cycle. For $100 vouchers is government shows appreciation to those who served NS before. Vouchers can buy goods in designated shops.

  3. I lived for ten years in beautiful Lion City and loved every part of the island including frequent trips to Sentosa. Resided at 800 Thomson Road looking over Macritchie Reservoir and worked at Suntec City. The hawker stand food is the best 🙂

    1. Sorry for the late reply. I am traveling to the Us right now so I took a break for a couple of weeks.
I have lived in Singapore for many years, and except for its hot and humid weather, I liked everything there. Yeah, the food is very lovely in Singapore. Sentosa was always our go-to place when we wanted to go for outings at the beach.😊

      1. Yeah, Little India is actually just like mini India and you get Indian stuff there easily. Food at Banana leaf is very good and Indian style chicken is what I liked very much there.🙂🙂

  4. Not in Singapore but when I was Europe then I visited Madame Tussauds. You are right, Singapore is very neat and clean city and very safe too. We can travel in taxi or MRT anytime and we are not scared for our safety.
