Devki and Vasudeva in prison

This deeply shook Kansa and he was so angry that he took out his sword to kill Devki in a fit of rage.

 Seeing this Vasudev fell to his knees and begged Kansa to not kill his sister. He promised Kansa that he himself will hand over every child born to Devki. Kansa could kill the baby and his prophecy will never come to an end.

Kansaโ€™s anger began to wane away. But to rule out any discrepancy he imprisoned both Devki and Vasudev. He appointed a few people to keep a watch on them all the time.
