Role reversal

As I hung the curtains in my new home,

I remembered days from years ago,

When my son was small and by my side,

Handing me things with joy and pride.

Now he’s grown into a capable man,

Taking care of things as best he can,

And I find myself in a different role,

Receiving help, feeling loved and whole.

The tears come unbidden to my eyes,

As I see the reversal of our lives,

The circle of love and care complete,

A bond between us that’s hard to beat.

I’m grateful for the memories we share,

And for the love that’s always there,

As we move forward with each passing day,

In a different but equally special way.

So he hangs the curtains with a smile,

I am thinking of my son all the while,

And knowing that we’ll always be,

Connected by love eternally.

      It’s not uncommon to feel nostalgic when we engage in activities that remind us of special moments from the past. In my case, helping my son with tasks that I used to do when he was small is likely triggering memories of those precious moments when I was his primary caregiver.
      It’s important for me to remember that while things may have changed, the love and connection between me and my son remain. I cherished the time I have now and created new memories together.😊😊

      7. Namaste Arun Ji. I read your post today and liked it very much. I was not able to post a reply on your site as it was not allowing me to do so. I tried to read about Big bang theory a bit.
        It is actually very interesting topic .The Big Bang theory is the most widely accepted scientific explanation for the origins of the universe. It proposes that the universe began as a singularity – an infinitely dense and hot point – which expanded rapidly and continues to do so to this day. This theory explains many observed phenomena, including the cosmic microwave background radiation and the observed abundance of light elements in the universe. The Big Bang theory has been supported by a wide range of observational evidence, but there are still many unanswered questions about the earliest moments of the universe and the nature of dark matter and dark energy.
