In our family’s realm, where hearts unite,
Generations mingle, like stars in the night.
With varied views and thoughts held dear,
We cherish the bond that draws us near.
Let us weave a rule, a gentle decree,
That honors our differences, sets us free.
We will never complain, never explain,
And enter the serene autumn of our life.
Respecting the wisdom of those who came before,
And embracing the dreams of those who explore.
Let’s forge a path where opinions may clash,
But love remains constant, an unyielding flash.
For strength lies not in sameness alone,
But in the harmonious chorus, we’ve known.
Let tolerance be our guiding light,
With empathy, understanding, always in sight.
Kindness begets bonds that never fade,
And bridges the gaps where opinions are laid.
With open hearts, let’s listen and learn,
The young and the old, the meek and the stern.
May our diverse personalities intertwine,
Creating a masterpiece, a legacy so fine.
So let this rule be etched within our core,
To celebrate differences, always.
In this process of thoughts, we share,
Our family’s unity shall forever be rare.

I like this one. Seems very relevant to today. Although there are limits in all things, today the far greater problem is that those limits are too narrow and divide too much.

Hi Bill. As we have extended families now, and our new members are from different backgrounds, It’s obvious to have difference of opinion.
If this is healthy then there is no harm. But I want to implement this rule in my family, so that everyone can just see good things in others and should not complain about anything. If there will be no complaint, nobody has to explain anything to anyone.

Thank you so much purplepenin for reading and liking this poem. I think if we can follow this rule in our families, everyone can be happy and enjoy the life without any stress of explaining things to each other.😊
