Bhakt  Shiromani Prahlad # 6

Bhakt Prahlad Ka Rajyabhishek

The anger of Lord Narasimha was pacified by the devotee Prahlad. Lord Narasimha also gave a lot of affection to the devotee Prahlad from his little one and placed him on the throne of his father (Bhakt Prahlad Ka Rajyabhishek).

Pleased with Prahlad’s devotion to Vishnu, Lord Vishnu granted him the rule of the three worlds.

But not many know of what happened to Lord Narsimha after he had done his duty for the Gods. In one of the most spectacular tales I’ve come across during my readings, the same Narasimha, after killing the demon, couldn’t control his own wrath and like an unstoppable nuclear bomb, kept exploding, burning, and destroying the universe till Shiva, the God of destruction, had to intervene at the request of the devas and stop Narasimha.

The tale saw two superheroes of mythology face each other in an ultimate fight.

One version says, Shiva in the form of Sharabha, an eight-legged beast, with two heads, and a strange mix of all kinds of carnivorous animals a huge and terrifying man-eating bird. He knocked Narasimha down with his giant wings and carried him off.

To be continued

  1. I love that story, didn’t know he had a fight with Shiva, though. Every time I think of the tale of Narasimha, it reminds me of one important moral: Don’t abuse the gifts the gods have given you or else you’ll suffer their wrath.

    1. Thank you so much for your comments.😊🙏 You are absolutely right…we should be grateful to God for everything we are blessed with. Using our wealth or power for wrong purpose is not liked by God. The results are always bad and then we have to pay for that.

    1. Yeah, after Lord Narasimha went out of control and started destruction. Out of fear Devtas, Asur and the three world trembled. The world whom Narasimha had just saved from the cruelty of Hirankashyap was now being consumed by Narasimha himself.
Devtas then hurried to Lord Shiva and requested him to save the world from the aggression of the Narasimha avatar. Shiva send Virabhadr who got defeated. Veerbhadra told Shiva for defeating Narasimha Shiva himself has to go in a form which is neither God nor of Asur nor human.
From Shiva emerged, Sharath and he was almost similar to Narasimha avatar of Vishnu. With numerous arms and legs, many faced God with wings and claws battled. Injured from the attack of Sharath, Narasimha decided to leave the body before that it prayed to Shiva to get into a simpler form. 😊🙏

      1. You are absolutely right. We all have many powers within us. We can use them positively or negatively. Yes, these stories are actually more interesting than recent movies because these are real stories without any flaws.🙏🙏. When we create something it can have different responses from people but these are real-life incidents of our culture that happened hundreds of years ago.

This portion of the story i did not know. From the movie of ” Bhakta Prahlad”, i knew that, Narshima God came back to his form own form, form of Lord Vishnu and caught hold of Prahlad and made him the king of that kingdom.
Thank you so much for sharing this side of the story.
